This adventure begins at Cape Town International Airport, in South Africa and ends at Hosea Kutako (Windhoek) International Airport, in Namibia.
Upon arrival at the Cape Town International Airport you will be met by a member from the team who will drive you to the elegant Cape Grace Hotel.
With Table Mountain - one of the most spiritual places on earth - at its heart and two oceans at its feet, the city of Cape Town, strategically situated at the south-western tip of Africa, has been famed for centuries as the Tavern of the Seas. Vibrant, cosmopolitan and an eclectic mix of old and new, this laid-back city is as much at home with its 17th century castle - whose cannons have never been fired in anger - as it is with its sleek skyscrapers and trendy malls. Home to South Africa’s first Mosque, oldest wine farm, a 350 year-old garden and timelessly beautiful beaches, it’s no surprise the legendary Flying Dutchman and his spectral ship have spent eternity sailing the city’s shores.
Enjoy three nights at Cape Grace Hotel in a luxury room with en-suite bathroom. Your stay includes breakfast, 24 hour internet access in communication centre, morning tea & coffee with wake-up calls, luxury chauffeur transfers within a 10km radius subject to availability and Cape history & wine presentation.
After a delicious breakfast you will be driven to the Cape Town International Airport for your onward flight to Swakopmund Airport. (Flight fare not included). Upon your arrival you will be met by a representative who will drive you to the Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre.
Swakopmund is a charming little seaside town, on Namibia’s western coast, retains a strong German flavour - from the cobbled streets and picturesque buildings, down to the typical German restaurants and pubs. This town is traditionally a holiday spot for locals and foreigners alike, with many opportunities for adventure sports and some good old-fashioned fun. Swakopmund is an ideal place to relax after a few days in the desert; wash off the sand and sample some of the finely-brewed local beer and renowned Swakopmund fare such as fish, lobster and the utterly delicious Swakopmund oysters.
Spend two nights at Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre in a room with en-suite bathroom. Your stay includes breakfast.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before being driven to Swakopmund Airport where you will board a light aircraft for your flight to the Sossusvlei Airstrip.
One of the highlights of any trip to Namibia is a visit to Sossusvlei in the heart of the enormous, almost 50 000km² Namib-Naukluft Park. Easily accessible to visitors, Sossusvlei is a clay pan, only rarely filled by water, but a place of awe-inspiring beauty. Visitors to the region will be left spellbound by the magnificent ochre-coloured sand dunes, which rise over 300m into the sky - the highest sand dunes in the world.
Indulge for three nights at Sossusvlei Desert Lodge in a desert villa with en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers and a private veranda. Your stay is on a full board basis, including scheduled activities within the NamibRand Nature Reserve.
Adventures include scenic drives with an opportunity to encounter a variety of desert-adapted animals such as gemsbok, zebra, springbok, bat-eared fox, aardwolf, caracal and jackal. Guided walks and hiking trails are also available, as are guided quad bike trails on set paths through the dunes. A resident astronomer and high-powered telescope provide breathtaking views of the clear desert night skies.
After a mouth-watering breakfast, we wave a fond farewell as you board a light aircraft for your flight to Hosea Kutako (Windhoek). International Airport.
